Frame plate and slide carry this full number while the barrel carries the number on the ejection side and BCT is stamped/rolled into the top of the barrel. I have never seen parts of serial numbers put on the top of the barrel.For example, a Glock with a model number of G19-3-USA indicates that it was made in the third month of the year 2019. Additionally, you can look for the serial number on the slide. The serial number combined with the model number can help you determine when your Glock was made.
