The same kind that it came with. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition. Stepper Motor Needle adjustment: Steps 1 & 2. Step 1: Adjust the stepper motor needles in the carb so that the shoulder sticks 1/8" into the carb. Stock stepper pins run in the middle of their travel which is when their shoulder is 1/8" to 1/4" away from the carb wall (closer to 1/8" is preferable).According to the PDF installation instructions I've got from them, it seems that it should work (single hole brackets for front, and one bracket for the rear, center). Tested the external relay from the TIPM recall and is good. I pulled the fuel line off the rail and there was definitely fuel pressure.Your dash-mounted headlight switch will have to go, if you want to use the column-mounted switch. 5. Ditto for the floor-mounted high/low beam switch; you will be much happier with the stalk-mounted high beam switch. 6.
